The influence of modification of one of the assumptions in standard non-rotating static neutron star calculation i.e., the anisotropic pressure of neutron star matter with hyperons in its core within the framework of extended relativistic mean field model is investigated. It is found that the maximum mass and the redshift predictions are quite compatible with the recent observational constraints if this assumption is relaxed.en_US
